Debatable buddy, prior to the expansionism of Christianity and Islam, pagan religions were pretty tolerant of one another. Zeus Ammon, etc (assimilation of Greek and Egyptian gods, etc)

Those people didn’t really need to impose religious values because their understanding was different than monotheism. That said, 99% of people back then were misogynistic, slave owning, deeply traditional etc by our standards so the values of modern “religious conservatism” were ingrained everywhere so they probably didn’t have much to fight over other than the avatar of a particular God and their origins

Either way, while I do agree that religion has the power to be positive, it should not be mixed with politics. You can’t use the Bible or the Quran to make sane laws. Imagine trying to enact Revelation by using the government. That would be a frightening policy agenda

Also, look at the state of affairs in the Middle East. Pakistanis drink piss water and behead teachers, but the government actively pursues Christians and Hindus for breaking blasphemy edicts, which is to say they don’t practice Islam and it offends people. That’s really solving Pakistan’s problems!!!

And I am absolutely correct, RELGION WAS GOVERMENT. It was invented 50,000 years ago to control the tribe. Every nation on earth was governed by the laws of a religion, china, israel, egypt, even rome and greece and every other group of hunters on the planet. All of them used the laws of religion and the promise of reward after death if you followed the laws, to control the population.

Americans, were the first to say ENOUGH lets take churches out of our state! But dumb modern americans dont realise, they have been bamboozled by the same type of humans that bamboozled the people of Judah when the Rabbi ruled with impunity that made jesus so mad he was flipping tables at the temple. Now people are worshiping a new religion that will solve all their problems if we "get rid of the other religion" by electing and paying taxes and shaming/driving the non believers out of existence (glassing the south).

Blind admiration of someone who says "i cant solve all your problems, but if we get rid of THOSE GUYS over there, then there will be no problems!" is both the toxic byproduct of religion, and politics.

Its why blaming religion for the behavior of MAN is dumb, because with or without a god, religions (political systems) commit acts of genocide against their dissenters.
