That's an incredibly naive and generous take for a crowd that was chanting, "Hang Mike Pence."

It’s not a “take”. It’s a simple fact. I can promise you that is exactly what Trump was thinking when he asked for national guard protection for his protestors I’ll get you the vids of the wars between proud boys and Antifa. I can even try to find some where Antifa rout them so that you can have a wank to it later if you want

Don't give me that bullshit now, we both know Trump just wanted a military escort for his coup.

Like the military is just going to go “sack the capital sir? Roger that!”
Cause there’s no such thing as a Democrat in our military. Aren’t you one of those liberals who argue that conservatives’ fears of the military being turned on them as justification to keep assault weapons for protection is stupid, because a military made up of people of various political backgrounds and faiths wouldn’t be willing to massacre their own citizens? Cause I hear liberals make that argument often. And it’s not a bad argument But by all means, if our military can be weaponized against citizens, then we probably do need assault weapons

“ Three top security officials in Congress lost their jobs Thursday over the embarrassing and deadly security breach of the Capitol by President Donald Trump’s supporters”
“ Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund will resign effective Jan. 16, before President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration, according to a police spokesperson. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell asked for and received the resignation of Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Michael Stenger effective Thursday. And Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that House Sergeant-at-Arms Paul Irving will be resigning after the Capitol was overrun Wednesday by a pro-Trump mob that even some Republicans are calling "domestic terrorists."”

When BLM was in town there wasn't an issue deploying the national guard to protect the Capitol from an angry mob.
Curious.... | ||

But let’s find out the real reason, using 5 seconds on Google (first result): “Simply put, the National Guard only shows up to D.C. when they’ve been invited, and the Capitol Police did not extend that invitation until after the breach, according to a source with knowledge of the process, who was not authorized to speak about it on the record” Wow it looks like the people who got fired for fucking up, namely the capital chief of police, had the responsibility to ask for the national guard and didn’t? They should fire that guy! Oh wait, they already did https://www.militarytimes.com/news/y...n-the-capitol/ Facts are tough huh?
