At the time I wasn't necessarily poor, but I definitely wasn't rich. For me it was hard to wrap my head around the idea of buying Cataclysm and and a subscription and leveling a toon just to probably get perma banned from the forums again. Did buy the game and 60 day subs for a couple of friends for the RAF mounts (the rocket, and the cinderflame mount).

I mean I was a 19D. I was supposed to be ARMOR, and riding around in Bradley’s, not jumping out of airplanes or walking long distances. A POAG if you will.

That's pretty cool. For me it was a choice between joining the army or going back to uni, I chose the latter. Always wonder what it would have been like if I'd chosen differently.
