this is not true, to the point where it detracts from the validity of your other statement. TR players on average are *much* better than the other players on this server, which is quite evident based on our track record. People justify things like losing on dragons in the most bizarre of ways though -- that's something that everyone processes in their own unique style.
I think that any member of Ascension TMO Divinity BDA or even peace pipe can be as good as a member of TR. Honestly raiding in EQ depends on a few things mostly TIME (TR has a lot of it) numbers and a good set of raid leaders.

You would be correct in saying you have more DEDICATED players but i would never say you are better then them.

While time is a huge factor, so is knowledge. What makes a rocket surgeon better at rocket surgery than you or me? They have the necessary knowledge the perform the required tasks. While EQ is a very old game, and anyone with access to Google can research all the info they need, the simple fact is that many players do not. Just because the information is out there doesn't mean every individual is taking advantage of it. In my personal experience, what makes one player better than another is their knowledge of the game mechanics, mob encounters, the capabilities of their and everyone else's class, etc.

I'm not saying that someone with a TR tag is better than someone without one, but our assessment process ensure that prospective members do have what I would consider an above average knowledge of the game. For that reason, I don't think Karsten was too far off in saying that TR members are above average players - in hindsight, "skill" may have been a poor choice of words.

But whatever, that is just my take. Grats to TMO and Ascension on the kill today.
