from Europe point of view, Trump was largely considered as an UFO politician.
To his credit, he didn't start any war when he was on charge and during the pre-covid time, USA economy was healthy.

Imho I think USA was lucky to avoid the semi-crazy Hillary, some US blood has probably been saved in the process.

I cannot wait to see what will be foreign policy from Joe.

PS: One thing should be change from US constitution : college of electors should be removed and only people vote should be counted --> Real democracy

Federalism, live in the state that caters to your liking. The Federal Government isn’t there to dictate how states govern.

I'm also from the wrong side of the pond. From what I understand the president isn't a representative of the people. He (microaggression, sorry) is a representative of the 50ish states acting as a coalition of nations that make up the USA. I suppose the president is more like a senior trade ambassador for the EU.

As such, despite the problems with the electoral college, I don't think having a nationwide popularity contest would be a fair reflection of who should fulfil the role. Perhaps a better way would be to have a popularity contest for each state as a whole, and use that to decide which candidate each state votes for.
