Why would they hack your guild and not TR or a guild with access to better loot / higher level characters if there was a vulnerability allowing them to hack any account?

Please don't jump the gun and blame the server. There are so many things that could have happened instead.

My account was hacked today and I am a level 60 with a fungi staff. No one had my info but me.

there was an issue a while back with some ewires crossing and logging into your own account would result in logging into someone else's character select. I once logged in to someone's level 23 SK or something. Another time someone popped in on one of IBs healthiest enchanters mid-raid and was like WHOA NELSON WHAT'S GOIN ON BREW?!


so this was fixed last I checked but could be something similar that's poppin up.

It was clearly a dick move because after he deleted the characters he took the trouble to create a level 1 female ogre named "Maxipad". This was months ago and never got a response from the GMs on that one, the thread is still alive in petitions.

or just a good old hackjob. though why would you delete someone's hcaracters that's so out of the way. Did he try logging in again and uncrossing those ewires?

Just had one of our accounts get hacked too.
no one knew the username or pw.

This is a slippery slope into a lot of shittiness across the server unless something changes. Secure accounts getting hacked and no restoration being the new policy... Gonna go all Nostradamus and predict these are signs of the END TIMES BRAH.

wow. with so many ppl getting hacked maybe the GMs should look into it.. you know, figure out whos doing it, how it might happen.. they should be all over that shit

i know of the "random log in" bug, it's happened to me before multiple times.. but if toons are getting deleted then it seems like maybe it isnt just that bug. even still.. it probably is. just resurfacing somehow or occurring more rarely

also there might be accounts that are getting jacked where the owner doesn't even know, b/c he hasn't logged on in awhile
