I think it would be easier to accept this if there was any semblance of a plan to deal with the virus going forward. Are we supposed to wear makeshift masks, some of which have now been scientifically proven to actually make COVID particles suspend longer in the air, forever? Until a vaccine is eventually created, perhaps years from now? Until after the election? It really is feeling more and more pointless. The masks do absolutely nothing if that is the only plan, and the longer this goes on the less everybody around me gives a shit about any of this.

I mean I understand in the beginning when no one knew what was going on and everyone was wearing gloves and washing their groceries. But we're pretty solid on the knowledge now, it's not that contagious, it's not that deadly, it's like the flu but maybe a bit worse. I guess it goes to show you, people pretty much get used to anything. Here, glue this dildo to your forehead! At first it's awful but six months later you're all swordfighting in the lobby downstairs like some unhappy unicorns. | |||

I wouldn't feel threatened by someone not wearing a mask n if I did I'd leave n come back and wash my hands gud both times.

I'm not sure which is more disgusting: leveraging a disease that is actually dangerous as a political cudgel, or leveraging a disease that is utterly insignificant as a political cudgel. I'm really in a pickle here.

What ever happened to the first sars? Is that still a thing? Rush played a pretty cool gig in toronto in like 2004 for sars relief\awareness. I think it killed like 10 or 15 people.

Maybe sars would have inferred some immunity against subsequent strains?
