If there were ever to be a new red announced there would be a 10,000 page thread of everyone immediately bitching how the rules suck and aren’t the way they want them to be yada yada. The Powers that be don’t want to see that they want you to be grateful for the free Everquest and volunteer work. It isn’t going to happen.

i think we should wait until kunark. it would be cool if an extra server was sitting around to waste on a new red and if it fails then oh well who cares.

I doubt id play EQ again, mayyyybe some awesome ruleset that i see wouldnt be doomed from the start, like a vanilla teams server would. Ive been doing the last visits to MMOs ive never played, like runescape. I thought damn i would have loved this game back in the day, too bad there isnt something modern like that. Turns out there is, albion online. Im playing that short-mid term for sure, doubt a new Red server would beat eve with swords, tons of actual fun instead of "this isnt Cod". Thats what EQ needs, dont reinvent the wheel, modern coat of paint with a few QoL tweaks. Id play that.

Actually would probably play it with a good ruleset, while making money scouting in Albion, which can be done semi-afk

Probably people who neither play on red nor want a new red server, but still post on the red forums. As you can see above there's still fun pvp to be had, I'm sorry you are stuck playing forumquest as your source of enjoyment
