Well if he's actually doing it that's great! Just from skimming forums it does look like he's posted and cancelled multiple times, but I'm glad people are getting something out of it!

To the guys complaining about cancelled events: If you go back and read his posts, he always gave a valid reason why the events had to be postponed or cancelled (such as the bug with giving items to NPCs for the easter egg hunt, real-life commitments, etc). As others have already pointed out, you are complaining about something you put zero effort into organizing.

I personally appreciate what Supermonk has done to make the holiday season more festive. Thanks to the money he has handed out, I will be able to afford my next level of spells without stressing out, a few levels of reagents (peridots are expensive!), and maybe even a badly-needed earring or two. It was also just fun to watch/participate.

While I totally get you nay sayers getting frustrated about the lack of details given, as Supermonk said...it is free stuff. I personally really like logging in for cool neat events like this, and really appreciate ppl like Supermonk who try and put on player made events. Being sad/mad about losing really just puts a sour taint on the whole experience for everyone. I was bummed out I didn't find the clues on his location but I still had fun! Just running around Norrath excited about the mystery of a possible giveaway was entertaining.

He is attention whore and this only way he can get power or anyone to do anything for him probably since hes loser IRL so fuck him hard. I was actually leveling a monk from level 6, sitting there in front of him in EC tunnel with missing ring, glove and bracer slots and he still destroys the plat. Fuck him till the end.
