It doesn't take you off instantly. You have a grace period of some number of minutes, similar to when you leave the area of the camp. You have time to /camp out, get out of your account, and have someone else log in.

Provision must be made for people who go LD so they don't lose their position in the /list.

People also remote desktop with things like TeamViewer. Steam. Chrome remote desktop. Which means the account doesn't even need to be logged out from the original users PC.
