Except I grew up without religion. There's a petty cliche and assumption that everyone joins the religion of their parents or surrounding culture that people who wannabe George Carlin parrot. Even if its sometimes true.

Extremely vague generalization that encompasses lots of different people and lifestyles. There's also many non-Muslim countries that you could say the same thing about like China. And those countries are run by sectarians who follow distortions, not true Muslims who just follow the Qur'an like we're supposed to. I'm not Salahudeen, although I admire him and despite him being a Sunni. But I think you're referring to a guy on the forums, which isn't me either. Also I believe in all the Prophets, not just Muhammad.
