I remember some guild wars I was in on Povar server, we would meet up in oasis and battle it out a few times a week. I've been asking for this for years on p99. Would play out like a fun mini game.

No one is going to bother with it, outside of a joke or something. Like the bob/fred wars of ultima online.

I think the idea would be to let the guilds raid in PvE peace, but for people to have alts in the two PvP guilds and declare some zone as the war zone and everyone go fight there just for fun, not over spawns, but just something like who is going to own Oasis tonight.

Guildwars would allow both PvE and PvP (for those who want it) to co-exist on one server.

I agree that it's unlikely the big raid guilds will partake in this. But it would certainly be used by smaller guilds or even guilds that form based soley around this features. It can breath new life into blue for those who have done everything and want to show off their pixel plunders in a different way.

Agreed. The guild leaders can set the limit of the war from 1-14 days. So 2 guilds could have a one day war event in a particular zone, and sue for peace if concluded before the one day has ended. OR have a full blown 2 week beef war leaving mobs to scurry and hide all over Norrath.
