Do you understand that the rebels don't need to defeat the entire US Military, they need to resist strongly for a duration. Resulting in help from the outside if it doesn't look like they will survive.
invading a nuclear state is a nonstarter, hope this helps

Yep. Thats what really matters under a tyrannical regime. Disarming the Venezuelan citizenry primarily prevents them from pilfering amongst themselves with arms. The real threat is the prolongued minimal rationing of food that hes orchestrating. If one faction/region gets too unruly he doesnt have to bring the military down upon them, he merely has to withdraw the small rations of food, and when done over a prolongued period you can be fairly certain that initial hoardings have been exhausted so it doesnt even take long to wait em out.

to me, an economic embargo and/or sanctions, means intentionally depriving children of food. what does it mean to you?

Its not the US' responsibiliy to hand people that refused our fishing poles fish caught on those exact fishing poles day after day.

If they dont want to starve, they should accept the technology that was keeping them from starving in the first place.

They can choose to bring back agricultural technology that they violently destroyed, insisting on "self-sufficiency" with sub-optimal agricultural practice at any time.

Why should we freight the same food theyve already destroyed down to them while they continue to refuse to farm it themselves?

You do realize thats what this is all about, right? They burned the monsanto crops and decided to go "organic" (whatever the fuck that means) the US is merely refusing to subsidize their bad decisions with freighted monsanto foodstuffs for free.

Doesnt help that the people of Venezuela put ideology in front of practicality, either. Theres nothing wrong with GmO food. "Organic" and "GMO-free" is just marketting for retards that dont understand that without efficiency increases in our farming practices, we're all going to suffer a Malthusian fate if Africa and South/Central America's population growth isn't stymied.

Thats why they want you all sterilizing yourselves and stuffing each others assholes, but the western world isnt the prime contributor, so the pogram really should be leveled upon the southern hemisphere if theres any intelligence behind its implement.
