![]() Oh yeah it does fail. i'd say about 25% of the time. maybe a lil less. Death Peace is a bit better and has a much lower cast time. One trick I use is to macro my FD spell and have it cast three times. So you if you fizzle it still casts.
/pause 7, /cast 8 (or whatever gem your FD is on). and then repeat this once and the third line is just /cast 8

![]() I just have to say FD is one of the coolest abilities in-game. For an AFKer, it's a true godsend. It's like the pause button/key in a single player game. This is one thing MMO's often miss.
It's like the people who design these think we don't have real lives.

![]() One of the stumbling blocks with FD is when you're fleeing from caster mobs. If you feign while the caster is mid-flow casting a spell, it will still land on you and when you take the damage it exposes you as still being alive [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
Only way to get around it is to eat the damage, and try FD as soon as it lands...tricky though in places like Mistmoore where there's occasions where a train includes more than 1 caster ;(

![]() seems to work better if you manually turn of auto attack vs letting the spell do it. Mechanically im sure no difference, however i have observed this.
