I think that’s exactly the appeal for me. I have a particularly strong aversion to the S&M theme, which is exactly the whole vibe is so... horrifying. It’s just great psychological horror.

I haven’t seen the sequels though. Sequels make me think cash grab and I usually avoid. You should watch and report back!
Ill try and see if I can coax my chica into watching these with me. Huge horror fan though, Ive seen the most. Phantasm is my all time fave, love the sequels also, especially nr 3.

Anything Stanley Kubrick (if you really want to have fun, watch them in sequential order and you see his style get more and more unique) I'd have to say I love them all. Even A.I isn't bad (he was working on that when he got sick and passed it off to Spielberg after flying him out to his house).

Some of my favorite "war" movies:

Sicario (only the first one, the second one sucked)

Dunkirk

Saving Private Ryan

Platoon

Dunkirk was really good.

Gotta give respect to Starship Troopers as well.

Not sure I wouldn't modify this later, but off the top of my head:
  1. Interstellar
  2. Conan the Barbarian
  3. Solo: A Star Wars Story
  4. Brokeback Mountain
  5. Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
  6. Donnie Darko
  7. To Live
  8. Terminator 2: Judgement Day
  9. Predator
  10. Total Recall (the original)

I'm a pretty big Arnold fan...
