I asked after people won what they got and nobody answered so I didn't bother posting that part. It did make me ask Lazy in Discord if one of the items given was the item in question here and he confirmed it was. Do traded items show up in logs from the person giving the item? Didn't think they did and if so Lazy can't prove he gave that item, but really...why would he be dishonest about this?

Could the person have still snatched the non-lore gloves even though he already had a pair? Of course, but at least his story is truthful about the person in HHK giving him a pair.

Looking forward to GM response to answer all the burning questions.

Tangentially, I'm pretty sure if you try to snatch a lore item you already own the ground drop just poofs anyway.

Just because you won a pair of those gloves in HHK from Lazy doesn't mean you didn't pick up a second pair off the ground. I mean, they're not lore.

This dude just knows that his gloves went missing, and when he came back Cained was standing where the gloves were, and made a comment about how he was streaming and everyone was laughing at OP.

Yes I am aware that I am the idiot for trying to transfer an item from one character to another by placing it on the ground.. but I did it. I placed my Guantlets of Fiery Might on the ground, sat on the bag on the ground and logged out, immediately logged back in and they were gone, only person there was Cained who was eager to "help" me find them. Of course they were not there. After a few minutes I logged out suspecting him to be the person who may of taken them and logged another character on, went to Cained and inspected him, all his gear is bad except, you guessed it.. Gauntlets of Fiery Might he is wearing.. He claims some person ran into highhold and told his group to random and he won them.. maybe true, maybe not, but the evidence shows otherwise imo.

Anything can be done to see if those are in fact my gloves? Even if they are can anything be done?

where he said he dropped the item was in the EC tunnels...past the 2nd torch.. lol he didn't do a transfer he dropped it on accident like an idiot and someone took it...He only thought I took it because he inspected a random person (Me) and assumed i did it just because i was close.

and what I mean by close is, I saw his /OOC and I saw his name around the corner where i was looking to buy an item. and i ran up to him and said did you find it? and quote he said "I just did it right here, 20 seconds ago"..why would i show up to him wearing the gloves? and let my name be known so he can suspect me? You messed up and your looking to blame someone..sorry pal ain't me

My didn't you mention that OP? there were hundreds of people around and you blamed me? why not 99 other people? this wasn't a random zone like kith forest where it was 2 people in the zone, NO. It was the Tunnels where hundreds of people trade at.. get a hobby

That is all completely false, I intentionally dropped them after T3 before area where shady is to do a transfer, it was approx 2am EST on a Monday, there were like 50 people in zone most of which inactive like normal at that time of the night during the week, there was hardly any activity going on, no one moving around etc. I did not accidently drop them. I logged back in and immediately see you about 30 feet away moving back and forth peeking around the corner, like you were waiting to see who was going to go look for their gloves, when you saw I saw you you moved to go back around the corner hoping I did not see you. I asked in ooc if anyone picked up my gloves and then you ran back out from around the corner and offered to help me find them. Maybe you took them, maybe you did not.. someone did? You are wearing a pair of them.. you were the only person in the vicinity active and trying to be helpful.. like I said maybe you did not and if you didn't I apologize you got tied up in the middle of it all, just a big coincidence then. I just stated exactly what happened in my original post....

Thank you for the concern for all the "hate" I am getting, but I am not getting a lot of hate, I am getting a couple people in this thread mouthing off at me for posting a thread of what had happened to me and my gloves. I am quite certain if that same thing happened to those same mouthy people I am sure their reaction would be 10 fold of what mine was. They seem to be the type who are going off pure emotion and hate. I am not saying I am perfect nor handled everything perfectly but again, if you read my first post I just stated what exactly happened to me.

Pretty sure everyone has given you hate outside of the guy you accused of stealing from you. Now were all waiting for you to go silent once you find out a npc/someone else picked them up. You're dumb as shit doing a ground transfer in the most populated zone and the most popular spot of that zone.

Also accusing someone of stealing without evidence and then running a smear campaign because you fucked up should be a suspension in its self.

Trust me I won't go silent.. I could really care less what you think and I have had no hate other than a few people sent presumably by Cained, considering I did not say my character name in this thread before those tells of people threatening/acting tough towards me. Not to mention I did not accuse him directly in my original post, I just posted facts of what happened and based off what happened he would be number one suspect, people can come to their own conclusions.. do I think he took them, maybe, is it possible he did not, of course it is... it is what it is and like I have said 10 times now once the petition is done we will know what happened to the gloves. If he did not take them then I am sorry he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and got in the middle of all this. If you read my first post there is no aggression, hate, anger.. I just posted what had happened... everyone has contributed to it to make this thread what it has become.

There was no one in that area at that time in the morning, like I said it was very inactive and along the wall all the way down the tunnel, was it the smartest idea, probably not.. but so be it.
