Couple things here OP.

• Make your own groups, make friends

I've been the one to say I have to AFK a lot and don't join others. It's a trade off and the motivation for that comment is usually just the fact that I don't want to join a group, be expected to fill a certain role and not be able to due to being AFK. It doesn't come from a place of elitism, it comes from the fact that I'm at home with the kids and wife, working out, reading for school etc

EQ is about forging your own way and exploring, the grind to 60 is the end game and the most enjoyable part of this game. Don't be in a rush to hit max level.

You're playing a class that depends on groups, make an alt that you can solo on when you can't find a group. This is part of EQ, you don't always have the ability to play how you want when you want. Another thing you could do is do some quests when you can't find a group, work on tradeskills, farm low level things to sell and make money.

TLDR Widen your scope and create your own adventure, don't be an asshole and don't let assholes dictate your adventure.

I don't want to sound like a know-it-all, but your tips are generally what I have been doing.

I have just reached the tipping point today after trying to find a group for 4 hours and being denied or ignored by at least 25 other players that are soloing in twink gear. I am currently playing my necro, so I can DOT and fear the occasional puma for 1% exp every 5 to 10 minutes while I watch twinks run around and kill non-stop.

I made this thread to try and bring some attention to this, because this was not how Classic was. I was there and I remember it. Now we can't take away people's hard earned gear or ban the use of twinks, that would be just silly. What we can do is just ask people to be more friendly to new players that have their LFG tags on and are posting LFG in OOC every 10 minutes. I'm not saying that everyone should group with a new player every time they are online.... I'm just saying that what I have been experiencing is a bit ridiculous, and I personally think it is a problem.
