Press Shift and the Up Arrow and you don't have to retype anything.
Create a bunch of windows with each sale line per window. Then you click each window shift up, enter and you can fill /auction with your awesome stuff [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Listing prices takes extra work since I have to type them out in addition to linking the items in question. I don't use macros for EC sales, so if there are a lot of items that extra work adds up fast. It also typically fails at the main purpose--reducing unwanted haggling. If I list prices, some miserable cheapskate always offers less even if I'm already pricing lower than the usual going rate for a given item, defeating the point of price listing in the first place. I'll ignore such folks but it's still unwanted nuisance. Hence I don't normally bother...little to no benefit.

I despise EC and regard it as the video game equivalent of some miserable third-world slum market. The automatic auction houses found in most newer online role-playing games are a big step up for the genre.

EQ2 had a neat system where you'd have vendor boxes at your residence where you would put your items up for sale. While it could be annoying, I found it way better than the AH->mail methodology, as you didn't have to keep re-listing items. You'd just lower the price as you saw fit.

EC TunnelRatting is not always bad, but it is certainly the most annoying of all due to no search, hoping seller/buyer is paying attention/has the money/isn't trying to trade a bunch of shit for said item, or price gougers (Hi there, CoS!).

Seems like 90% of the time when people list an item with no price, if I ask how much, they just reply with "offer". Bugs the shit out of me. I don't respond to them after that. Now, if they don't list prices, I just don't buy from them because I don't want to deal with the games.

I hate buying and selling in EC and just want to get what I need and get out of there asap. I have like 3 bags of shit to sell on my druid that I've been carrying around for weeks because I don't want to deal with EC BS.

in today's market, supply > demands by a huge margin

99.9% of the case, sellers who respond with "offer" is just a complete dumbass. good luck wasting you time sitting in ec. i will log in ec another time and easily find the same item on sale by a different seller.

Ec tunnel is honestly integral to maximizing rmt so i don't really see it going anywhere.

Would hurt profits too much to introduce bazaar.

I have to say it gives me peace to think I will never have to communicate with a tunnel dweller (the equivalent of human excrement) again in my lifetime

When I'm selling something, and tell someone to make me an offer, I'm usually quite willing to sell for whatever their lowball offer might be. I have kunark spells for sale... make me an offer? Awesome, yours. That's usually how that goes.

I do the same. An offer will benefit you in my books. I rarely sell items at full price, and if i'm selling multiples, there usually is a discount. The other day i was selling 3 flawless diamonds. I didnt' include a price, and i got 2 /tells. 1 gentleman said "i'll take 1, 3.5k?" So i said sure. The 2nd customer said "Will you take 6k for 2?" I said, sure. The offer is there for your benefit. It also means i'm open for trades.. Guess there are different outlooks on it all..
