Ha - so many emotional high strung folks. It is like home again. I miss the Veeshan Vault - classic board that is still up but not operational.
So much venom. Awesome.
My first character I met on the server was Charlesbronson who essentially stays camped at the Priest of Discord in Rivervale killing all of the guards. He allowed me to loot one and bingo - 11 plat. What a godsend.

The wall guards in Misty are constantly camped and the fine folks killing the guards for the are very helpful and play the role of guards when you bring a mob back to the wall. Again, great community. So Pyrex, I have no issue with that aspect of the game at all, just took some getting use to. I give them my little cleric buffs and they allow Deputy Budo to live a few moments longer for me to turn in Deathfist belts and it works well for everyone.
I do have issue when a player pulls all the guards, does not help when you are obviously being whacked at the guard station and does not rez after he watches you die and says /cry when you loot your corpse lol. That is kinda like griefing methinks. I understand EQ rules completely, at least as they were on Veeshan, raiding rules mostly and I do understand community. You give more than you take and I would not play a Cleric if I did not want to help more than hurt. Its a pretty selfless class IMO.

So I will avoid you as well, but I will Rez you if I see you down. That is my role and my obligation.

Anyway, since that time people have provided me gear for no other reason that they are mensches and I have given gear provided to me down to others starting out. This is actually how I remember it being in 1999 when I started playing and how I played the game up until 2005.

Man I missed this world.

I can't let this go. I'm addicted to reading the post over and over again. I did figure out who he really is though - that racist, white-trash dumbshit in Oakland that made the news last week because she kept calling the cops on black people because they were BBQing in the park. They weren't breaking any rules. They weren't taking anything from her. They were just getting harassed because she didn't like them being there.

The Halfling roleplayer guesses were so money. Hates black people grilling in her park. Hates necros exp'ing in his zone. Claims being harassed/ Claims being griefed. Calls cops. Calls forums. This is some next level roleplay.

Griefed by the griefer exhibiting the worst type of behavior. Leveling off guards is serious business.
