This makes no sense.

Why would it cost more to go to and from Kunark.

fucking glass licker.
The same reason superbowl tickets cost more, traffic = demand = premium.

When I ported in classic, I said "Porting to all locations, 20p upfront." Now, I don't advertise at all, I simply take people up on the 100p offers when I'm not busy.

Honestly, there is alot of new content to experience, and the prices of new loot are still dropping. Which means you can earn more money camping things now than you will later, so to take time out to port people warrants a higher price.

Don't wanna pay my price, find another porter. But don't call it a tip, capitalism FTW.

Thanks for the econ101 lesson..... I wasn't exactly sure how supply and demand worked. I feel better knowing.

If a waiter has to take on a table of several people at once, typically there's a mandatory set % gratuity added to the bill. Think about that next time you assume someone logging on for 4 hours at a time to just sit and port people wants to do that for shits and giggles. Some people honestly do, basically sit there and help get people around, but they typically are financially better off.

Something to consider.

Uhm, generally it's tables more than 6 or 8. Rarely will you find restaurants require a gratuity of 18% or more for 4.

Since when is 15pp a standard? I charged 25pp when it was just classic. Now that kunark is out and you wan't a ride back to WC, I'm only doing it for 50pp and above. I rarely respond to /tells for ports
Yeah, you're a greedy little shit. Aren't you?

In the 300 days I /played on live as a druid, I never once advertised for ports and I certainly taxi'd people around all over the planet. If someone stuck plat in a trade window, awesome... if not... whatever. I figured that I made significantly more money by sitting around or solo'ing without anon/roleplay on and getting random tells from people miles away asking for major transportation jobs. Come pick me up in Toxx, drop me off in DL then grab my twink in BB and take him to WC, give him SoW and Camo and meet me back in DL for 350p. Sweet... that certainly beats shouting around zone after zone "porting for tips" like an asshole.
