you pay not for the porters time but for the time that the port will save you in that you will not have to run or catch a boat. 30 pp is a good starting point for port donations. now play nice jack holes!

I really like the people who are offering ports but then say a 20p donation is required. If you are requiring a donation, it stops being a donation.

Yeah I don't mind paying for ports. If people charge for them. A tip is something given out of gratitude, demanding a 'tip' for porting someone isn't called a tip. It's called payment.

I love it when I get a port (im only lvl 21) and DONATE 10pp. That's a good bit of plat for a lvl 21 toon.

Only to have the porter tell me afterwards "You know, 10pp isn't even worth my time. Don't ask for another port unless you can donate more"

Since when is 15pp a standard? I charged 25pp when it was just classic. Now that kunark is out and you wan't a ride back to WC, I'm only doing it for 50pp and above. I rarely respond to /tells for ports
