What is a mallet, or snare net, or root net. Or blind orb.

Yeah, solid advice. For a casual low level player, leveling up with his Shaman buddy as a duo partner it's totally practical for him to carry around a mallet, snare/root nets and a 100k+ Orb.

Ranger/Shaman is amazing for leveling up the ranger can single pull out doors all the way to 60.

They can also aid in root CC, track for named mobs, and keep mobs snared. Rangers are crazy underrated!

Enchanter is always the choice. Paired with a shaman is a powerhouse. But if you're set on your list ranger is quite fun. Tracking is cool and you don't use mana for anything but lvl 9 spells so spend the extra mana on healing the shaman so he can canni more.

I did try out the ranger over the week end and I have to admit I'm enjoying it more than the warrior. Think I may stick with the ranger after all. The utility is nice. Got him to 18.

Once you've got snare, flame lick, harmony and root you are basically set.

Got 3/4 of those already so things are looking good.

My friend hooked me up with some decent gear/weapons and suggested I be on the lookout for a woodsman staff which I have yet to find.

Also my ranged weapon is currently not a bow. Any suggestions on a good bow to level with?

I was largely interested in Ranger for the utility factor and their aesthetic was more my style. Thought it would be cool to have some spells rather than be completely melee. I also enjoy that there aren't as many of them running around.

People seem to put them down a lot I've noticed. Any reason why? Are they wildly under powered or something?

I can sow, haste, snare, root, slow, lev, shrink, invis, heal, and triple attack. All I am missing is track and my warrior is a ranger too. People who think warrioring is just standing in front of the mob with auto attack on have never played a warrior correctly and have never grouped with a good warrior.

This all sounds pretty great but I have no idea how to do any of it on a warrior. I'm all for learning the class properly though so any tips are appreciated.
