New P99 server? PLEASE I WANT CLASSIC

Why would they restart when they haven't finished p99 yet? The last velious patch isn't out yet...

I mean, OP is right...it assumes that people currently playing are here because they want the "classic experience as it was in classic on live" --- which, you can't really get here any more, at least not fully as the OP points out.

On the other hand, the OP is wrong if he assumes that people are here only because they want the "classic experience as it was in classic on live". People are playing p99 as its own animal now. It isn't classic anymore. It is something else, and many of us are playing here because we enjoy it. By the way, most of my classic desires are still satisfied by p99 even in its off timeline form.

yeah this isn't just like classic EQ, but it's the closest we'll ever have (besides a possible green server way in the future)

there are a few reasons why it will NEVER be like classic EQ again, no matter what the devs do:

all the information is easily accessible on the wiki or forums.

forms of vocal communication that makes communicating in large numbers immensely easier (raids back in the day, woah)

the fact the content is so old and overdone that half the pop knows every little hint and secret, nothing is new anymore.

we're stuck in velious indefinitely (unless the devs get smart and release luclin) leading shit to be majorly poopsocked
