I don't think it's that easy either, to line up an account date and see that it matches perfectly when one stops and the other begins.

It appears some people operate multiple muppet accounts on the forums and they don't always have dates that coincide perfectly with one another.

Here's a good train story from Live, since a few people liked the last train story:

Sitting at a murkglider camp on my necro, kiting them alone in the zone for a couple hours. This wizard shows up, and claims that it's his camp. I tell him I've had the zone to myself for hours, at which point he starts shouting obscenities in /ooc. We're the only two in the zone lol.

He then proceeds to round up all the murkgliders and trains them on me. I see them coming and FD, and he wipes before he can get gate off. He's dead, mobs reset and I resume kiting.

The guy makes his way back the zone a while later. He couldn't find a rez so he just loots his corpse and continues his /ooc rant in the deserted zone. Then he says he's going to find out who my guild leader is and have his guild leader talk to my guild leader, and that it going to lead to me being unguilded. Presumably a scary threat since I'm in a large and well respected guild, and we valued our good reputation.

The other guild's leader starts chatting me up, asking me who my guild's leader is. I tell him "I know your guild leader and you're not him" and he says "oh, I'm on an alt." And I say "I'm on an alt, too."

So, yep, he intentionally trained me and then threatened loudly and adamantly to have me unguilded from the guild I was the leader of, and then got his own leader involved (who I was friends with) who decided that the guy was a shit stain on his guild and unguilded him right there on the spot. Sweet justice.

In the old days Sony didn't give two shits about how people conducted themselves, and things like training and other disputes were dealt with by the guilds in question. Most of the time it was unguilded people that pretty much did what they want with no consequences. But no man in an island, and the Brell server was a pretty chill place because the guilds mostly got along.

Kinda looks accidental....and tbh in the time you stood there watching/mezzing and shit you could have run to the ZL.

It's just bad play by both OP and Greenrobed Chanter.

This is what any normal thinking person gets from the video. ^

The added asshattery is when the noob gets bombarded with threatening tells about his reputation being ruined by a third party, I mean, when he was gently explained how he should watch what he says because his words could cause detriment to his in game elf reputation. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

To me that's the saddest/worst part of it, not even the dumb game play of both involved in the video which actually is more funny than anything.

Too many people take the game way too seriously when they start threatening reputation damage or thinking simple arguments or common mishaps over camps will or should cause actual "damaged reputations."

Serious nerds so serious.
