It looks cool, but I don't think I would like it that wide. It would get exhausting to physically turn your head to look at different sides of the screen. For that reason, I never played EQ full screen on my 27 inch monitor. It was way too hard to see everything on the screen at once without glancing around or turning my head.

When I payed wide screen I had issues with turning left to right with the mouse ( it was extremely slow in game).
Do you also have that issue?

I'm guessing it has something to do with the dpi setting to resolution.

Lower your fps slider in the in-game options.

I just got an ultrawide too and discovered it actually cuts off the top/bottom of your camera. You don't get any extended view, it's just zoomed in. Same goes for 16:9 it's just less noticable.

Unless there is some fix I don't know about, I went to a 4:3 window to get maximum FOV and use the extra space for activities.

Yeah, after really comparing it, that's what it seems like. just cut off. the only benefit is you have so much room for the barf inducing UI. My screen is 3840X1080, so not really much different than 2 27" screens at 1920X1080 stichted together. I usually just play in 1920X1080 w/ a browser up on the other side.

Would be worth it if it came standard with barrel rolls.

I tried this. I can't stand it. I turned EQ into a tiny box in the corner to where my UI looks more normal and I don't have to turn my head to look around.

That's some nerdly shit right there. I mean that in a truly impressive, nerdly way too. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
