Confirmed nerfed? Not that I care ... it was a cute/funny way to get xp on my Druid but it's boring as hell.

It's still a good quest for iksar to get good faction with vendors.
Used it on my lev 25 iksar, exp was realy bad compared to killing blue mobs but after 4-5h i could buy stuff from the vendors, this was before the nerf.

The nerf was expected IMO, look at it from the plat gain point of view instead of the exp gains.

2gp given to the centaur results in 1-3pp reward from Inkeep James, not too shabby. Now y'all pulling the quest npc's to their respective bridges cutting the travel time out and you got a nifty way of printing plat...

Well yeah if you count all the people doing it, but individually it's not like you are getting rich. Leveled my druid from 14-20 and got maybe 200pp. I mean sure easy plat and would pay for spells but not like you're getting rich. As far as collective plat from everyone doing it, yeah it's generating a fair amount [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I passed by there last night and there were 10-12 people there still running the quest. Maybe they didnt get the memo. For druids and wizards it may still be worthwhile.

The quest is a part of the Karana Bertox plague event, and will be going away as soon as the Chardok 2.0, et al patch is released.

That said, it was absolutely justified in being nerfed. The game has bugs, or unintended features, if you will, like any other bit of software. Folks figured out how to take advantage of the mechanics and exploited the shit out of it. So, it got the nerf bat. I'm not condemning anyone for taking advantage of that (this is a fucking game after all), but there is certainly no cause to blame management for taking the exploit away.

There are workarounds, of course, but why take the development cycles when a quick value change can be done on the fly?
