Can stalking probes be used to pull HoT instead of beads?

As someone who has a 60 monk and 60 necro, they are a crutch for sure, but I won't be getting rid of either of my pairs anytime soon.

There are a lot of neat tricks you can do with beads, granted the same can be done with stalking probes, but as a main monk my bag space is limited and I carry 7 10 slots. And as a necro and a American I'm too lazy not to have a set of beads.
