The Guardian piece you linked doesn't accuse her of making anything up. It states that she retweeted things Claude posted that later proved to come from a hoax source. Claude did what any ethical journalist must do and publicly acknowledged his mistake. You don't see the same type of ethics at Fox News where they claim Sandy Hook was a hoax and never retract.
