Bump.

There's gotta be more people that agree with me.

I would love to be able to go to CT and form a group there without having to beg ppl to come. I'm fairly sure on live this wasn't a problem because ZEM's weren't known. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
people don't group at CT because almost everything casts, a lot of stuff CHs, and then you spend half the time running down a winding tunnel, blind from lizardmagics with a horde of stumpy-armed lizord mans in hungry pursuit

If it had a higher ZEM people would suck it up and try a new zone.

I think most of the server would agree that hot zones as a concept are a good idea. But I doubt most would agree that they should be added here ... and even if 100% did agree it wouldn't matter, because this is not a democracy.

P99 is Rogean and Nilbog's project, and they have been very clear that they want it to be classic, not what the server wants or what would be "good".

You must be new here. This is never going to happen, no matter if every player on the server unanimously agrees with you (which they don't).

You also said "Well, lots of things aren't classic now that were implemented to extend the life of this server." Like what? The list of non-classic things they did on purpose is very small, I can't think of more than three. There is a bunch of them that they had no choice about. The things they did on purpose that are non-classic all have a good mechanics reason....hot zones do not, they are just one more thing that the devs would have to keep track of and change and settle arguments about.

I've been here for 2 years.

Have you ever tried to farm anything in Velious? Why do you think it's so hard to get anything to drop? This is one of the major contributing factors thar are keeping high end players interested in this server.

Changing the exp value for a zone would just be changing a multiplier in a formula. Not complicated at all.

All the ZEMs on p99 are not classic or were in anyway true to timeline. Nice punt on the meme's though.
