"Need" is always relative. For anything sellable to other players, everyone 'needs' plat. Outside of close friends, guildmates, and pre-agreed on loot rules - everyone rolls.

It sucks to lose out on items/spells you needed on a greed roll (has happened to me countless times) but that's really the only fair way to handle things in the long run.

Sure I don't NEED torpor, but my monk NEEDS a fungi and t staff. Torpor sale oughta solve that eh?

This is the official mantra of guild hoppers.

Speaking of which.. joining a guild and getting into guild groups is the only real way to truly experience NBG on p99. It will never, ever happen in pickup groups
