Wow. Any one else hear there is a free beer at all bars scheduled for Friday night? I hear it's run by the Beer Council for World Peace Organization LTD. PLC.

Apparently it is for charity and it would be bad not to be at your local.

yea. Karnors... going to be hell. Im planning on sticking to Old world zones for the event...I love Kunark, but ill leave it to the ones who want to flood over there and fight for mobs.. find me a nice quite light blue area and sit with some friends will be the best strat I think.

The problem is that there aren't too many places like that at 50 or 51. Plenty of people will be staying in guk or solB, OOT and specs in ferrott and oasis too. With the firepot bind rush, many towns will have their guards camped since it will be absolute cake to get there from the fire pots. Kedge *should* be busy since it has the highest xp mod. A great deal of people will probably grind there instead of fighting the hoards in Kunark.

In short, I don't think there will be many "nice quiet light blue areas" to claim. It won't be as bad in the old world as it will be in kunark zones, but you still won't be able to avoid the rush.

I believe the best strat would actually be going the other way. Have a druid or mage DS PL a bunch of newbies in low level areas. Offer to pay them for loot rights. Then you sit back and wait. With a mage DS, a random newbie can kill random trash in only a few seconds. Even light blues at 50 take a min to kill, and then you run the risk of running out of them.

Hell, twink out a warrior in all the HP/AC stuff you can find, buff him up as much as you can, give him a DS and have him pull all of crushbone. He'll get xp from the DS kills. If he gets too much xp, just kill him a few times. Rinse and repeat until you have all the rare drops you want.

There is not going to be alot of leniency or looking the other way come friday night..

You fuck up and try to ruin someone elses experience because you "HAZ TO GIT DAT MOB FIRSTEST", you'll be crying at the server select screen for a week.
