For any character that does any meleeing, I recommend saving up some plat (sell bone chips and pelts) and getting yourself a pair of AC+5 HP+55 rings (Platinum Fire Wedding Rings) for each hand. The AC and HPs will serve you well for many, many levels, probably into your 50s, and will be godly at low levels for soloing.

This is good advice, thank you! My husband's never played warrior is wearing a set, they're miiiiiiiine as soon as I get to GFay. Any suggestions on earrings? His are crap. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Cougar Fang or Orc Fang earrings are both great for rogue, and both can be farmed in Velious by a level 30+ toon (40+ would be faster). Or you can purchase them for 200-300 each.

Also, if you're settled on leaving but don't want to do gfay, EC/WC//Nro/Oasis is another low level hub you could try.

Thank you, I'll look for those, not having to buy spells is a huge reason for wanting to back to a melee. I've tried EC/WC route on elves & it's super low populated, I must have bad elf smell or something. I'm trying to be more social, so forcing myself to meet people & group. It's better than SoD, but, ugh, it's rough out there.
