I'm all for paying reparations if it would quell the dindus, BLM, racial protesters, etc. If I could write a check to end their nonsense, I'd be all for it. However, the truth of the matter is they will just want more and more, even if they received reparations. Give an inch, etc.

Discrimination died sometime this decade. It may exist in ownership (older boomer generation+) but those owners will soon die off and then institutional racism should be dead with it.

Oprah may then be allowed to purchase the TV channel that she wanted (MAJOR case of racism).

How much of a helping hand do they need? Black lives matter was started by black college students going to the same colleges as everyone else. The president is half black, there are black senators, doctors, governors, police, and everything else. The highest paid actor in hollywood is black.

It isn't that blacks 'need a helping hand', it's that the ones who call for reparations need to learn what accountability and effort are. There are ample successful black people in america. In fact, when you adjust for population size, there's a higher percentage of whites on welfare and/or living in poverty in america.

All this bullshit about oppression and just that: bullshit. It was stirred up by democrats as a way to get votes. Notice it only happens around election time. Blacks (and other minorities, but particularly blacks) are being pandered to so that come november, they vote democrat. Once those votes are counted though, they'll go back to not giving a shit about anything except for lining their pockets, just like all other career politicians.

The same thing happens with republicans. Around election year suddenly muslims, queers, and abortions are going to end the world at any moment and the only way to stop it is to vote for whichever poster boy the electorates chose for you.

Another source showed about 50% of total black population used welfare in 2012, while white's about 5% (percentage of race population size). There is similar data for poverty rate demographics.

I agree it's not oppression. Blacks simply don't perform as well in society in aggregate. If someone runs faster than you, it's not oppression. You just can't keep up. Democrats definitely play this up for votes, but the fact isn't untrue.
