Haven't played d2 in a loooong time. Do runes always drop in act 1 lowest difficulty or did they drop cuz you're in hardcore mode?

Runes always drop anywhere. The Countess always drops runes. "Countess Runs" are a thing for farming runes -- after I beat Act 1 I'll probably do a few countess runs to try and get a runeword or two.

Typically, I would save my imbue item reward from Charsi until later in the game. But when every encounter can my last, I decided to splurge on some heavy boots. Not too shabby, I like the added run speed.

Gettin kinda boring now that its just a grindfest of farming items to be able to farm more items faster :/

I had a level 99 Amazon on HC way back in the day.

This was when internet connections were dial-up and you lagged out/got disconnected all the time. If you got a lag spike you rushed to SAVE & EXIT as fast as possible, then log back in and hope you didn't die.

I have tried doing Necro any% HC (normal beat baal) runs. I use to stream it but I suck compared to the WR holders so I was embarrassed to continue.
my necro any% hc PB is 3:58 with no video proof. :\ wasn't streaming just practicing and I beat my previous time.

WR as of this post for Necro any% HC is 2h 14m 20s

I learned everything from him about necro speed running.

He said it is certainly possible to get sub 2h with necro. But it's one of the hardest classes for a number of reasons.
