It's a 2 stroke, but different than a normal 2 stroke. The piston and reed technology make it so you don't have to rebuild and re-bore after every season. In fact I'v had my kdx for about 9 years and I haven't bored it yet. Still has very strong compression. It's about the best value bike you can get for the money.

10 days is barely enough time to recover from the jet lag. Just go south and lay on the beaches and go scuba diving.
