no actually they aren't open to making any changes whatsoever because literally everything relies on rogean and he hasn't given a single fuck since 2010

Funny then how they did make changes and wanted input for how a new Red server should be. They also already said for this server that they would put in weekly PvP tournaments if we figured out the logistics for them. I probably should have followed up and written a comprehensive list of specifics, but I wasn't especially motivated to at the time.

I'm still not very motivated to play this game if just that change alone was all they put in, but talking about potential possible improvements is better than nothing. It would be nice, for starters, if the community would actually participate in a discussion about how to balance equal-equipment, equal-number-of-players style PvP in this game.

I can tell you're smart and I know its frustrating when people can't hear you, but I know what you're saying. It won't happen though because nobody cares about EQ no matter how much you improve it, despite the base game being the best available. Too many people refuse to change classic, including the devs, even if it would make the game better. The only way to accomplish what you're saying is to make your own server.

I'd suggest forgetting about EQ and looking forward to Pantheon if you don't like the current state. It actually has systems similar to EQ and might actually revive it, despite EQ always being king and having that special feel that even Pantheon doesn't seem to replace after watching gameplay videos. Its still missing something, but there's just nothing else.
