Um.... Clearly you miss the metaphorical statement being made. The boys father was not at the Zoo that morning. In-fact it's led speculators to believe the boy is without a father at all. When little Timothy saw Harambe he thought it very well could be a new dad for him. Therefore the point being... It wasn't the Gorilla that died that very day... It was the love for a father. Damn take some Poetry 101 son.

Try harder. Should have gone with the negligence of the mother manifesting the yearning for the father. Hamlet 101.

Viable strategy....until the Gorilla decides to rip your face, hands, and genitalia from your body with little to no effort. Monkeys/Gorillas/Chimps...these animals are f#cking ruthless when they want to be.

I have a friend who still maintains to this day that if he had a baseball bat he could take 2 chimpanzees in a fight to the death. I feel the Chimps would take the bat and sodomize him as they ripped his limbs off...a Silverback? Yikes - Silverback wins 1,000,000 out of 1,000,000 times in this duel scenario
Chimps are one of the most violent animals on the planet, where as gorillas are generally pretty passive.

Chances are there was a way to save the gorilla, but it would have been a risk. I'm not sure about gorillas, but a chimp is about x3 stronger then it looks -- and there a good 4-5 ft tall.

A chimp has muscles that are a lot stronger than humans, so your friend doesn't realize he is comparing apples to guns. They also do things like bite your genitals off if they get the chance.

Dude It's a viable strategy when facing a Silver back. People need to be aware on a 1 on 1 duel scenario. I myself practice these scenarios regularly with my girlfriends mother. I could've saved this kid easily.

When facing an adult male Chimp it's an entirely different strat. You need to first kneel down in a bow like pose. Then you wave you arms frantically in the air being as loud and possible and charge. The chimp will cease and recognize your dominant form and size. It's really simple.

Animal planet use to be educational now it's just choked off by the terrorist nazi rebel media hosting such things like as the Croc hunter etc.
