Well, there's always the possibility that the feds lured them out with some kind of convincing disinfo. If that's the case I have slightly more sympathy depending on the nature of the delivery.

Maybe their cellular internet started loading a redirected drudgereport that said nuclear war was wiping out the West coast or something.
