This. Sadly as many have said the server doesn't communally agree with NBG (in most cases) and greed almost always sets in. Sorry to see this happen to you - judging by your elaborate posts your intentions seem genuine.

You mistake me friend. I'm not shit talking, just putting things in perspective. I actually like the new Secrets, but we clearly disagree on this issue. If I try hard enough I can remember a few shaman I've recently helped farm torpor for. One guy was in Haggard Krew before it went to shit. Good peoples. I didn't even know these people at the time, just good ole casual fun group experiences. I know how difficult it can be to acquire it, and being that I genuinely enjoy helping others in this game, I didn't mind putting in the time and effort. To me, in game, small group experiences are the best part of playing Everquest. That doesn't remove the fact that claiming need on something with a group of randos is selfish. It's been hashed out a million times here and that's why the general consensus is greed with a group of randos.
