Its a computer animated series made by a Korean dude named Monty Oum, who passed away earlier this year.
He made it while working for Rooster Teeth, the creators of Red vs Blue.
Monty was put on the map for his earlier works that he made by himself at home, most notably
Haloid followed by his
Dead Fantasy series which got him picked up by Namco, and eventually Microsoft to do the combat scenes for RvB. I think he worked for another company in-between those two but don't know for sure.
