Ya Ella, I live in Boston for the time being. Lived here most my life. I move around a lot. My job gives me the liberty to be picky as fuck. I'm interviewing with several places in central Florida at the moment and one is tabling an offer, so I'll probably be out before the EOY.
Fame, I'm here now but my family is coming to visit this weekend so I won't have much time to be out an about with them crashing at my place. As far as the herbs go, its hit or miss. You are not going to see the steady quality you see in the AK, but also, some of the shit here is a lot more potent. Also they don't dry the leaves here like they do in AK so don't be surprised when you see just pure buds without leaves. umbrella named a few good places, but he hit the nail on the head. Its gunna be pretty expensive wherever you go in boston. There are some nice burger joints in cambridge that boast some of the best burgers in new england that won't break your wallet. there is a lot of stuff to do. just stay out of the worcester area. thats my hometown. its the mos eisely of Taxachusettes

OH i forgot to mention the lobster.
We have maine lobster here in new england. Alaska lobster is marketed as "Maine" Lobster, but they are not from Maine. They are from Canada. Canadian lobsters and Maine lobsters are the same species, but they taste completely different. I've grown up eating lobsters here and when I had an Alaskan "Maine" lobster, i was like naw naw. You fish. You know docks. Go to a dock (Best bet is north shore and anywhere north of it) and find a lobster pot or crab pot boat. Try to make it before they cash out with their vendors and you can get a cooler full at wholesale cost depending if you can swing it with the cap. some of the older salties would rather sell to you, but the newer vessels won't I noticed. Or you can buy them at any market for decent prices. i think its around 8 bucks for chickens and 9-12 for selects. As far as restaurants go, I wouldn't know for seafood. I don't eat seafood in restaurants. Too risky for me. I'd rather dig up clams and oyesters in low tide and dive for my own lobsters then let some 20 year old moron prepare my food. --edit-- I had my boat docked in point judith, narraganset, rhode island for a while. thats somewhat close to Connecticut, closer then the north shore and the maine places for lobster. i had luck with the docks down there trying to get lobsters for lobster bakes back in the day. havnt tried in 10 years or so tho.

truthfuly, I find MA alot nicer than NY, if you are looking for a fun experience and you are white, go to Boston, if you not white, go to NYC.
also, what zade said is true, i used to work on a lobstah boat in gloustah and we rather sell to locals or tourists that come up and ask than take it to the plant. P.S. zade your making me miss new england [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] edit: If you go to MA, go to manchester by the sea and marblehead. My family grew up in those area's. Beautiful, make sure you go see the boats. If you go to manchester by the sea, go see tucks point and singing beach. | ||
