Actually, if you look into it a little bit deeper, this is looking more like a cell that was activated.
Looks like they planned to do an attack, and some bigot at the christmas party said something to piss him off so he moved up his time table.
Also, if you wan't to get tin foil about it, during some interview the band that was playing in Paris that got attacked, in an interview said something along the lines of "atleast they can't get to us in san bernadino".
This administration wants to downplay ISIS and its effectiveness, its ability to operate within the US borders. Let me explain something to you, ISIS is the best funded terrorist organization to spring up to date. These guys have sophisticated media campaigns, just because you can't see anything else doesn't mean everything else about them is not sophisticated.
Attacks are stopped pretty frequently in america and other places around the western world, you will never hear about them. The only time you will hear about an attack is when it actually happens, and then you will receive the media's spin on it.
