Velious is a PVE expansion, my man. Straight from the mouth of the zerg.

Before Velious and Empire noone ever held 100% raid attendance, now you got people like Checkraise and Cyren being burnt out by Colgate and Gongshow's raid schedule.

The question was, what happened to all the guilds that should be contenders? Azrael, Fresh, Curse, Good Guys, etc. That all happened before Velious and 100% raid attendance. You are talking about things that happened after the fact as if it is the cause.

So what is the answer. All those guilds that should be contending were destroyed. Why and by who?

A lot of guys got cooked in the first 90 days of Velious. Things are better now, but burnout is not something that a lighter raid schedule fixes, once you are burned out, its a done deal for those who have been burned out. Only a long layoff can bring those guys back. The top 40-50 raiders holding 100% attendance is a deterrent for former veterans who can only make 60-70%.
