It's going to be a fuckin' blast, too, for the one or two or three hours, or 20 minutes, or 45 seconds that I manage to stay alive.

The server is a celebration in honor of p99's birthday. It's meant to be nothing but a temporary, chaotic distraction from the main servers for a month or two. Then all your hard work, the neckbearding, the pixels - gone forever. I pity the fool who takes it for anything more than that.

I, personally, cannot fucking wait. My body is ready.

Totally agree, it will be a lot of fun. Even when you die and you're like GODDAMIT you'll likely be sitting at character select looking at your char that's now level 1 with a smile on your face thinking MAN THAT WAS A FUN RIDE. No doubt about it. I made it to level 8 as a cleric originally.

But 9 out of 10 won't want to do it twice.

yeah, flat 300% is the last word on the xp bonus, with no added incentive for grouping.

gonna be everquest counterstrike for me. gonna be war in de_freeport for a while but not much else. if server pop drops quickly, there should be nothing stopping me from getting into a leveling groove and enjoying high stakes cat-and-mouse with other players for several days.
