Apologies if this spoils, but it was cool how it showed humanity breaking down in the face of the crisis. Some giving up, some fighting til the bitter end. If you remember - they did not kill Susan (the neighbor zombie that the military took out) but how it escalated from that was decent in regards of how some can keep it together (or attempt to) and others just think they can cut ties & go it alone.

A couple questions:

At the end, what was the red stuff in the ocean?

If zombie blood is enough to infect humans, why hasn't any of TWD cast been 'turned'?
Red stuff in the ocean is a form of algae called "toxic red algae" or "Red tide"

I'd like to know why they haven't turned either, with blood splatters and all the zombie killing.

Hey thanks, yea, I had heard of red tides & certain algae causing such events before but wasn't sure if it was just there @ the time of shooting or put in to look like a new way the infection would spread.
The fish would be zombies too, leading to them trying to be catching & eating them, to turn zombie or it was just....a normal red tide floating by in the last few scenes.
Not trying to kill off the characters of the show. I think it just gave a foreboding look with it washing across the last few scenes.

Red tide would be the only real world logical explanation that I have. At least I saw no mass blender that could cause that much blood from zombies to pour into the ocean lol.

Well it very well could be. I don't know if you've ever seen redtide but it's absolutely creepy as heck, so if it was just a coincidence that it was happening during shooting then I'm sure they loved the timing. It's a great thing to add into the show.

Boating through it is pretty crummy also, leaves my boat with a reddish tint color

my friend explained how I should feel about walking dead pretty spot on and it worked for me.

"dude you should just consider yourself lucky that there is a zombie tv show at all and enjoy it while you can."

SPOILER POSSIBLY

.llll

so did anyone else find the final episode disturbing. SURE let loose a ton of zombies from a stadium as a distraction and murder all those solders and nurses etc etc.

Their is still humanity and the world is not gone all to hell yet, this behavior fits in well with The Walking dead but it just didn't make sense to me in this spinoff time frame.

Another thing is some of the character just plain act stupid for no reason. They have the knowledge of the zombies , yet they proceed to venture outside the compound without ANY weapon knowing full well what it requires to kill a zombie. TO me that screamed of poor writing.

It's pretty much been established that there is no humanity and the world has gone to hell already. The military has already given up on the entirety of LA.

But yes, the writing has been atrocious on this series.

I just started watching this show last night. I'm watching episode 3 right now and I kinda like seeing the new faces and the new location (is that Mexico? Lol jk) in the early hours of the zombie apocalypse. We didn't get that with Walking Dead. Just Rick waking up in the hospital after the fact.

Anyway, so far so good. I frickin love me some zombies. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Episode 5 is getting creepy. I had a feeing things were headed in that direction.

So, apparently they're gonna be snatchin' up the attractive women and killing their inconvenient husbands to clear the way for passing the women out to the asshole soldiers. A rapey vibe is brewing.

See what can happen if you put all your trust in the government to take care of you in a crisis? Lol. So dumb. And of course the first thing they'd do is demand that you give them your guns. You know, to make it easier to turn your women and children into concubines and slaves. Lol.
