It has been said by a few people already, but the reason the zerg guild is so large, whatever guild it is at the time, is because it is filled with blue players.

There is a sever with what, 1,500 people to our 300 (estimate) that you aren't even allowed to attack people on besides /duel? These numbers alone prove that more people like sitting in a zone with 100 other people for 8 hours at a time and listening to what the 5 people leading the raid tell them to do for 6 months so they can acquire an item (I have done this) than having a dynamic and evolving gaming environment that fosters and encourages competition.

This is the same reason most people slave their lives away at a 9-7 job doing something they don't like. The human condition, at least of this generation, is that of receiving the most you can get for the least amount of effort you have to put in, and it translates directly to this game as lets face it, this game is a second job.
