How to pronounce SoW debate

My reasoning for pronouncing it as /soʊ/ (rhymes with go) is this:

The spell is named Spirit of Wolf. You could conceivably shorten it to "Spirit o' Wolf" and therefore the "o" could become the long "o" if you were to shorten that to SOW.

There is no "ah" sound in Spirit of Wolf so it doesn't make sense to me to say it as /saʊ/ (rhymes with cow).

It's pronounced like kung Pao. My friend pronounced it like "sew" and he then and now is obese and far less attractive than I.
