This, of course, is subjective because no time frame is given, but the fact that he made attempts to contact you before the spawn and was met with silence led to the deduction that you were not there and were not going to be there. Your use of audio triggers to determine your gameplay furthers the notion that you had no intention to be there until the mob was already spawned. Communication is the best of bets. If you intend to use audio triggers to pull you to your computer to play the game, please be aware that you should have all forms of communication (say, tell, ooc, shout) on audio triggers, otherwise you will be assumed AFK when attempts at communication with you do not work out. As I understand it, messages were sent to you in say and you did not respond after the mob had spawned because you were expecting a tell. The assumption that you were AFK could've been resolved by piping up even right as it spawned. Resolving issues takes communication from both sides. If there is any more information you would like to provide, feel free to send me a PM.

AFK camping is when pet classes leave their keyboards and gain exp through from their pets killing stuff.
Leaving the keyboard inbetween spawns is fine. Surely no one here is stupid enough to think that when you camp Hadden you have to be staring at the screen for each one of those 6 hours inbetween pops.

If you're camping something and afk between spawns, it doesn't mean you lose the camp. Now if the mob spawns, and after an extended period of time you haven't killed it... well then you have an argument to make it would seem. I would say make sure you are there when the mob spawns...or very close to it. I don't like people who use the rules to the letter to get their way due to selfish reasons. The rules are there to prevent people from acting like wankers for the most part, more important to honor the intent.
One thing to remember, greed rules people. And paranoia.

I don't know what the actual rule is, but what it should be is that the camp is yours unless/until the mob pops and you haven't engaged it within ~60 seconds. Because otherwise, you being AFK is irrelevant anyway. The only rule should be that you're not allowed to hold a popped mob while AFK.

Leaving the comp between spawns is fine. There's no way to prove that they're not there anyway. Maybe they just don't want to talk to you!
