Can someone please define exactly how much plat worth of coin+sellable items are allowed when I kill a mob? If I get a cracked staff off a decaying skeleton is that considered an exploit?

The price on everything is about to change dramatically. The current prices on items are severely misrepresented due to months of exploited platinum entering the system.

I'd advice folks to hold on to your gear in the event that all this exploited plat is tracked down and deleted. Item prices will change dramatically.

Sea furies is 2k plat an hour on a good run (500pp-1k on a shit run) and is in a highly contested pvp zone which can only be accessed by boats.

I killed a few in the name of science recorded it. took about 25-30 seconds for a trooper to kill it was extremely easy. Id say u could do about 9 of each spawn an hour so 18 an hour.

18 x 180 ( lets call it 180 because they drop plat as well) 3.25k an hour x 24 = 77,760k every day. ( if u hit it hard like letsjoe or cyren) then turn around and rmt it 8bucks per 1k. not bad for these nerds with no social skills working from home.
