What have you learned about the game recently?

I have also learned that you cannot type an apostrophe in chat by using the actual apostrophe key, but more interestingly, when you cast a spell on a corpse it says something like "you try to cast a spell on a hermitscorpse but they are protected".

The poor a hermit doesn't even own his corpse!

I have seen a guild mate say "can't" in guild chat, but the mystery escapes me.

Mystery apostrophe, why do you taunt me?!

P99 is my first time playing a ranger(or druid) and didn't know harmony didn't require line of sight until lvl 29 [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I learned once you start raiding, all you do is sit around waiting for raid targets for dozens of hours.

There was a thread, maybe even a sticky, on another game I played where people posted stuff they had just learned about the game.

It was pretty cool because it grew into an archive of useful information, trivial information and also a thread where there could be potential hidden features or bugs.


Anyway, I didn't see one like that here but I may have missed it.


Otherwise - I am pretty sure that the "A hermit" in Southern Karana has his self buffs delayed based on something to do with the weapon he spawns with.

If he spawns without a weapon, it's immediate, the slower the weapon, the longer he takes to start casting his buffs.

If this is true then it's something I just learned too. Unlikely that, if it is true, it applies to just hermit

creates a macro, i had always used alt+m and clicked socials tab then > then right click on a blank button to create one.

/hot owns for creating assist macros:

/hot assist 0 /assist <person>

0 sets the color of the macro with zero being black, I don't remember what they all map to but I think it goes up to like 10. I think there's a way to make it multiline as well but I'm not sure how.

If you type the apostrophe first it puts whatever you are saying into /say

You should be able to use it regularly any other time.

That is super weird. Just to clarify, as you're typing something like 'Hey guys, I'm here', the ' in I'm simply doesn't show up when you hit the key? Are you using the apostrophe on the right side of the keyboard or are you using the ` on the left side? When you haven't selected the chat bar, can you hit ' and have it enter into the text entry area? Have you tried switching the keyboard with another one and seeing if it behaves the same way? Is the apostrophe key bound to anything else besides /say?
